Peter of Candia Project

The Peter of Candia Project is an international collaborative effort to further the study of the life and thought of Peter of Candia O.F.M., the man born in Crete around 1340 as Petrus Philarghi and buried at Bologna in 1410 as Pope Alexander V. The Project aims to serve as an introduction to Peter of Candia, his life and work, and to make available via the internet an exhaustive bibliography concerning Peter of Candia, and eventually intends to publish electronic editions of the complete works of this important philosopher, theologian and church leader.

The project is made possible by generous support of the Institute of Medieval Philosophy and Theology at Boston College, and the Department of History and Archaeology at the University of Cyprus.
